   现代化工业、农业生产和生活活动产生的污染物进入土壤并积累到相当数量,引起土壤质量恶化和生产力下降的现象。土壤的污染物主要来自工业和城市废水和固体废弃物、农药和化肥、牲畜排泄物、生物残体及大气沉降物等。土壤污染可分化学污染、物理污染和生物污染。其中以化学污染最为普遍、严重和复杂。土壤的化学污染物分无机污染物和有机污染物两大类。无机污染物包括对动物、植物、微生物和人体有危害作用的元素及其化合物。硝酸盐、硫酸盐、氯化物、氟化物、可溶性碳酸盐等化合物是大量、常见的无机污染物。汞、镉、铅、砷、铜、锌、镍、钴、钒等元素也是污染土壤的物质。有机污染物主要来自农药,大量使用的具有杀虫杀菌效果的化合物直接进入土壤后,大部分被土壤吸附并残留在土壤中。石油、多环芳烃、多氯联苯、三氯乙醛、甲烷等也是土壤中常见的有机污染物。针对性质各异的土壤污染物,可采取不同的土壤改良措施。如溶解冲洗结合排水;改变水分条件和氧化-还原状况,促进降解和分解;施用改良剂;深翻深埋,建立隔离层。不得已时,也可采取换容土的方法。
