   一种可用来研究导电材料最表层结构的显微分析仪器。工作原理基于量子隧道效应,将一尖端为原子尺度的导电探针作为一电极,样品表面作为另一电极,当二者距离极其接近(通常小于1纳米)时,在外加偏压的作用下,电极间将产生对二者间距十分敏感的隧道电流。通过电子反馈线路控制尖端与样品间距离恒定,则扫描样品时,针尖的运动轨迹就直接表征了样品表面态密度的分布或原子排列的图像;据监测隧道电流与外加偏压的关系,就可得到样品表面电子结构的信息;利用间距与电流之间的依赖关系,还可测定样品表面局域势垒的变化。该仪器由电子反馈控制系统、计算机控制系统、压电陶瓷扫描器、样品固定及逼近装置等组成,被测试样品要求具有导电性。该仪器可在实空间下获得某些表面原子级分辨率结构信息,可在纳米级尺度上实时观测表面三维结构图像,可获得表面最表层的局域结构信息,可对表面进行纳米级尺度上的加工及处理,可在真空、大气、溶液、常温、低温等不同环境下工作,可得到表面电子结构的有关信息。
