| 吡咯 pyrrole 含有一个氮杂原子的五元杂环化合物。分 子式C4H5N。吡咯及其甲基取代的同系物存在于骨焦油内。无色液体。沸点130～131℃，相对密度0.9691（20／4℃）。微溶于水，易溶于乙醇、乙醚等有机溶剂。吡咯在微量氧的作用下就可变黑；松片反应给出红色；在盐酸作用下聚合成为吡咯红；对氧化剂一般不稳定。它可以发生取代反应，主要在2位或5位上取代 。在15℃时，吡咯在乙酸酐中用硝酸硝化，得到2-硝基吡咯，产量不高，一部分变为树脂状物质。吡咯形式上是一个二级胺，但在稀酸中溶解得很慢；环上的氢被烷基取代后碱性增强，可形成不溶解的盐。吡咯可与苦味酸形成盐；还可还原成二氢和四氢吡咯。
