防火玻璃是一种具有防火功能的建筑外墙用幕墙或门窗玻璃，是采用物理与化学的方法，对浮法玻璃进行处理而得到的。它在1000℃火焰冲击下能保持84—183分钟不炸裂，从而有效地阻止火焰与烟雾的蔓延。
防火玻璃在强度上更胜一筹，在同样的厚度下，它的强度是普通浮法玻璃的6—]2倍，是钢化玻璃的1．5--3倍。产品各项指标均符合中华人民共和国国家标准gbl5763，1-2001。
