bolang yundong波浪运动(wave motion)水体在外力作用下使原处于平衡状态的表面作有规律的起伏波动，并向一定方向传播的现象。波浪在传播过程中，水质点只是在原来的平衡位置附近作有规则的闭合运动或近于闭合的运动。按作用的外力不同，波浪可分为:由风力引起的波浪称为风成波;由船只航行引起的波浪称为船行波;由日、月等天体运行引起的波浪称为潮汐;由地震引起的波浪称为地震波或称海啸。 直接处于外力作用范围内的波浪称为强制波，在外力停止作用后，或传播至外力作用范围以外的波浪称为自由波，也称涌或余波。余波较强制波具有较规则的外形。余波的波形向前推进的称为推进波，波形不移动的称为立波或驻波。当海洋、湖泊或水库的底面对波浪运动无影响时称为深水波(实际上水深大于半波长的波浪即可认为是深水波);有影响时则称为浅水波(水深小于半波长的波浪)。当水深更小，以致波长大于25倍水深时的波浪称为长波，此时波速只与水深有关。 根据实际观测，海洋中的波浪可以传播到很远的地方，经过相当长的时间也不会消失，这说明波浪在运动过程中水的粘滞性影响很小，故通常在研究波浪运动时，常将水的粘滞性略去不计。 对于波浪运动的研究存在着各种理论。大部分经典理论在一定条件下可用于较规则的波形。有些复杂的波浪具有明显的随机特性，故应用海浪谱的随机波浪运动理论也在逐步发展。
