穿洞古人类遗址
穿洞古人类遗址位于安顺以北26公里的普定县城郊，是我国继北京周口店遗址之后一次极其重要的发现。该遗址经国家考古队两次发掘，出土人类完整头骨两件，哺乳动物碎骨18,000件，单个牙齿500多枚，动物化石13个属或种；出土石制器物20,000余件，骨器1,000余件，以骨锥最多，另有骨铲、骨针、骨棒等。此外，发现用火遗迹多处。穿洞古人类遗址一处发现两具头骨至今国内无先例，出土的骨器，超过全国发现总和30倍，一举摘掉我国旧石器文化中贫骨器的帽子，成为全国第一，世界罕见。穿洞古人类遗址具有极其重要的考古研究价值，被中科院专家们誉为“亚洲文明之灯”，现拟建“穿洞古人类遗址博物馆”。是全国重点文物保护单位。
