薄金 沟通箔,薄金就是金箔。清迮朗《绘事琐言》称:“尝闻打金之法:首熔金,次凿碎如米,捶扁成片,夹以乌金纸,取其滑而不滞也。护以炉中炭灰,取其燥而不润也。百层为一束,束以绳,捶以木椎,勿太重,亦勿太轻.轻重不均,则厚薄不称。捶至寸许大,谓之开荒。停一日,俟其冷也,层层揭开,易乌金纸,添炉灰,仍以绳缚,捶至四寸余宽则成矣。捶初停,中热如火,不可立解,解即化力珠,须一二日冷定,乃可开也。开时见风,则金皆飞去。必密室中,四壁纸粘,一人以木尺许竖于下,方板五六寸,横于上,涂板以粉,上铺狗皮,炭火一盆,肘熏其板,防湿气粘金,虽六月不废也,皮上置金薄,竹刀切方为八块或四,大者三寸三分,小者一寸一分,夹以白纸,十张为一帖,千帖为一箱,是名金薄,俗呼为飞金,凡漆饰绘画多用之。”据清代工部则例及圆明园则例,金箔有“红金”、“黄金”之别。晚清以来,又有“库金箔”、“苏大赤”、“田赤金”诸称。“库金箔”,颜色发红,金的成色最好,张子也最大,约木尺三寸三分见方。“苏大赤”,颜色正黄,成色较差,张子约二寸八分见方。颜色浅而发白的叫“田赤金”,颜色如金而实际上是用银来薰成的叫“选金箔”。北京颜料店出售金箔以十张为一帖,十帖为一把,十把为一具。
