      聚醋酸乙烯酯玻璃化温度较低,仅28℃,因而在室温下有较大的冷流性,不能用作塑料制品,但它具有能与多种材料,尤其是与纤维素物质(如木材、纸等)粘接的优良性能,被广泛用作涂料、胶粘剂、纸和织物整理剂等(见造纸用化学品、染整助剂),如粘合木料的白胶水、粘接砖瓦的胶粘剂,透明胶纸带,砖石表面涂料,以及预先涂有聚醋酸乙烯酯的标签和信封、邮票等。醋酸乙烯酯和丙烯酸酯或乙烯的共聚物应用于粘结不易粘结的材料(见乙烯-醋酸乙烯酯树脂),如聚氯乙烯塑料等。此外,也作无纺布的胶粘剂。
