在联合免疫混合制剂中，抗原配合的比例不当时，在免疫力产生上互相抑制。此外，接受联合免疫的人或动物，如果对混合制剂中某一种抗原已经具有免疫力，则可能抑制其他抗原免疫力的产生。例如百白破三联混合剂注射后，原来具有白喉免疫力的豚鼠对破伤风抗毒素的产生较正常豚鼠显著地低；原来具有破伤风免疫力的豚鼠对白喉抗毒素的产生也有影响。上述情况称为干扰现象。
