This paper introduces the hardware component,principle and foundation of protective configuration of new-generation protection and control device that is applied to automatic block(power continuous) line of railway distribution substation.

Taking account of the characteristics of metro power substation:great in numbers, decentralization, near interval and expedient inspection, this paper introduces the no-man-on-duty management in metro power substations of Guangzhou Metro Line 1 and holds that, this management shall be coordinated with higher professional quality, optimized automatic information and remote supervision performance.
