    硼的含氧酸。氧化硼与水的化合物。共有4种：正硼酸（H3BO3） 、焦硼酸（ H6B4O9 ）、偏硼酸（ HBO2 ）和四硼酸（H2B4O7）。正硼酸通常简称硼酸 ，为白色晶体，可用硼砂和盐酸的反应制取  :Na2B4O7＋2HCl＋5H2O=4H3BO3＋2NaCl正硼酸分子中虽然有3个氢原子，但却是一元弱酸，25℃时电离常数为5.8×10-10。在常温下溶解度不大，但在高温时剧增，107℃时100克水中可溶解37克。正硼酸加热至100℃转变为偏硼酸，160℃变为四硼酸，在更高温度则成玻璃状B2O3。硼酸与甲醇反应生成挥发性的硼酸甲酯，火焰呈绿色，用于鉴定硼化合物。硼酸用作搪瓷和玻璃工业的釉料。能抑制霉菌生长，用作消毒剂，特别是洗涤眼睛。
