澳洲植物区
又称澳大利亚植物区。由澳大利亚大陆和塔斯马尼亚岛构成的独立植物区。植物区系特点是特有科、属、种十分丰富。如12049种维管植物中，有9036种（占75％）为本区特有植物。有山龙眼科、桃金娘科、木麻黄科等13个特有科。它们都包含许多特有属、特有种。如金合欢属有280种；桃金娘科的桉树属有600种。本区常被分为3个地区：①东部与北部澳大利亚植物地区、西南澳大利亚植物地区和中部澳大利亚植物地区。
