Yulin
Ylllin榆林(Y ulin)中国海南岛重要军港。位于海南岛南端。西邻三亚港，东邻呀琅湾，北靠五指山，南临南海。汉属珠崖郡。明、清属崖州，为经营渔、盐的自然港湾。1920年改属崖县。1939年被日军侵占。1942年前后建成榆林码头和安游码头，成为日本掠夺海南岛铁矿石的口岸和侵略东南亚的基地。1945年中国政府收回。1950年5月以后，建成专用军港。1984年5月属三亚市。榆林港三面环山，北有狗岭，东有虎头岭，西有鹿回头岭，港口向南敞开。港区分内港和外港两部分。内港在东角和西角连线以北，人口狭窄，能避风，隐蔽性好;外港在内港以南，水域宽阔。为不正规日潮港，潮差较小。属热带海洋性季风气候。年平均气温25.4℃。年平均降水量1 315.2毫米。受热带气旋(不含热带低压)影响年均3一4次，多在5一11月陆上交通方便，有东、中、西3条公路干线北通海口，有铁路经黄流至东方(八所)。榆林西控北部湾出口，与越南荣市隔海相望，东南与西沙、中沙、南沙群岛共扼太平洋经南海去印度洋的海上交通线，是支援南海诸岛的海军基地，战略地位重要。(孙敬一)
