工业转包主要分为两种形式：
- 产量导向型转包（capacity subcontracting）
当发包商到达产量极限仍不能完成某项生产任务或定单需求，而将超额部分工作量委托给其他的转包商完成的转包形式，在这种情况下，发包商和转包商之间一般为水平分工。 专业导向型转包（specialist subcontracting）
