描述DipteracanthusNees（emend.Bremek.）双翅爵床属，爵床科，约10种，分布于热带非洲东部,亚洲和大洋洲，我国台湾有双翅爵床D.repens（L.）Hassk1种。草本;叶对生，全缘;花1—2朵生于叶腋，无柄或近无柄；花萼5深裂，裂片近相等，狭窄，短尖；花冠钟状，白色或紫色，5裂，裂片近相等，卵形至半圆形；雄蕊2长2短，秃净，花药2室；花盘通常不明显；子房每室有3—6颗胚珠；蒴果棒状，着粉腺发达，有种子6—16颗。
