废水循环利用及重复利用水经过使用含有某些杂质受到一定污染后经过一定处理返回原工艺再用或提供其他工艺再用的过程。这是节约用水,减少排污的一项重要措施,对保护水资源、防止水污染有积极的意义。在水资源紧张的中国,推广废水循环利用及重复利用系统尤为迫切。电力、冶金、化工、石油、石油化工、纺织和轻工是主要的用水行业,也是节水的重点对象。据报告,各行业水的循环利用(重复利用)率的合理水平分别为:钢铁叻叼一95叼.化工80叼~8石%,食品60少{一80%.纺织30吹一50%,纸浆造纸50%~60%。中国尚有很多企业不能达到此合理水平,说明节约用水的潜力还很大,任务还很艰巨。根据废水的性质,废水循环利用和重复利用系统的组成也有不同。如冷却水循环系统中一般均设有水的冷却设备及水质稳定处理,高炉煤气洗涤水循环系统中必须有沉淀池及矿渣回收装置,纸机白水循环系统则常用气浮装置回收纸浆纤维。可见,在循环用水的同时还可回收废水中的有用物质。
