ZOojlOO藻胶(algaeglue)从大型海生红藻、褐藻提取的海藻胶质称为藻胶。藻胶的种类很多，用途很广，许多大型海藻特别是红藻，其细胞壁的外层系由藻胶组成，如琼胶(脂)(路ar)、海萝胶、卡拉胶等;褐藻细胞壁的外层为多种不同的藻胶组成的藻胶质构成，其中分布最广的是褐藻糖胶。中国是利用藻胶最早的国家之一，早在宋朝，福建、广东沿海一带居民就用海萝胶浆丝、浆纺织绸子。 过去生产藻胶的原料—大型海藻—主要由海边自然生长的海藻经加工提取而制成。解放前开始有少数海藻进行小面积粗放养殖，产量很少。解放后，随着工农业的迅速发展，人工养殖的种类和面积不断扩大，有的已经形成相当规模的产量，加工、提取工艺逐渐完善，产量质量也有很大的提高。 可成为生产藻胶的海藻种类主要有:海篙子(%26刀夸“占umpalli汉“m)、海黍子(5.妙22刀1“门记~)、海萝(肠loPelt台五子cata)、多种石花菜(晓服左“朋 .sPP，)、海柏(Po匀叱琴，esPo妙-ideoi面)、江篱(肠口。laris~a)、琼枝(君战he~gelati-~)、三叉仙藻(蕊m刀“umkon龙扔i)等。(胡鸿钧)
