性质:又称獐牙菜苦苷,当药苦苷。属裂环环烯醚萜苷类化合物。片状结晶(乙醇-氯仿-乙醚),熔点113~114℃,旋光度[α]D20-127°(c=1,96%乙醇),易溶于水、乙醇,不溶于氯仿、乙醚等。易水解,其苷元具缩醛结构,化学性质活泼。来源于龙胆科植物日本獐牙菜[Swertia japonica(Maxim.)Makino]的全草等。可生物合成制得。为20世纪80年代创制的解痉止痛新药,用于痉挛性胃痛、腹痛、胆囊炎等症,还可提高皮肤组织的生化功能。动物实验显示具有抗炎和中枢抑制作用。
