This paper will introduce an intelligent fire detecting system based on CAT-5,it uses the image sensor as fire sensor to collect the fire picture,then send the picture to the CAT-5 in the LAN(the distance can reach 1000 feet) ,the picture will be transmitted to computer through CAT-5.
