隐翅虫科 Staphylinidae;rove beetle 鞘翅目隐翅虫总科的一科。通称隐翅虫。已发现2万种以上,广布世界各地。中国约183种。 该科的种类食性复杂,食腐败的植物与腐烂的动物、粪肥、菌类。本科中毒隐翅虫属的种类与人的皮肤接触可引起皮炎,如中国长江以南较为常见的黄胸青腰隐翅虫,俗称疯蚂蚁,即是本属的一种。 该科昆虫小到中型。本两侧平行,鞘翅短,末端截形,腹部大部外露。体呈褐、黄与蓝色,较光滑,并覆细毛。复眼小形或大形,单眼1或2个。口器发达。触角丝状或棍棒状。腹板6或7节,末端具尾毛状突起,跗节因种而异。幼虫外形多与成虫近似。 该科昆虫性活泼,跑动迅速,善飞翔,如遇惊扰立即逃逸。一些种类常有夜间飞集灯光的习性。很多种类生活在海滨与水边湿地,常潜伏在枯枝落叶、树皮或朽木下,有的居住在鸟类和啮齿动物的巢穴里 。有300余种在蚁巢中与蚁共栖,还有的在大黄蜂与胡蜂巢中生活,捕食它们的幼虫和蛹。 |
