This paper deals with the error analysis for scanning eartb position of the scanning mirror s optical axis because of the disturbance of the scanning mirror s optical axis of the imager and sounder caused by the payload thermal distortion and long-term orbit and attitude variation during the operational satellite.

Several problems in developing two axis gimbaled mirror system of geostationary, three axis body stabilized meteorological satellite imager were studied and analyzed such as material and structure of the scanning mirror, driving manner choice system design and control.
