性质:又称倍半萜,萜烯系统(C5H8)n中n=3的一类化合物,即三个异戊二烯单位的聚合体,可分为链状、单环、三环和四环。在植物中常以醇、酮、内酯等形式存在于挥发油中。倍半萜在植物生命活动中起着十分重要的作用,例如重要的植物激素脱落酸及很多真菌的抗生素都是倍半萜。倍半氧化物  sesquioxide  氧与其他元素的原子比为3:2的氧化物。“sesqui"拉丁语意为1倍半(3/2)。例如A1(III),Fe(III),Sb(III),Bi(III),N(III)等的三、二氧化物A12O3,Fe2O3,Sb2O3,Bi2O3,N2O3等。
