   显示电信号波形的阴极射线管。通常指显示图形、字符的电子束管。其基本部件有电子枪、偏转系统和荧光屏。示波管一般采用静电偏转和静电聚焦,垂直偏转板加信号电压,水平偏转板加锯齿波电压作为时基。有各种颜色和余辉的荧光材料可供选择:观察用示波管常用发绿光的荧光粉;供摄录的示波管则采用发光光谱与胶卷匹配的蓝色荧光粉。要同时显示多个波形,可以采用多枪示波管。高频示波管显示频率高达几百兆赫至几吉赫的信号,采用行波偏转系统,以及扫描扩展部件,是核实验、核聚变、激光技术研究中摄录高速单次信号的关键器件。示波管主要是向彩色和高分辨率方向发展,用来显示大容量信息。平板型示波管是其另一个重要发展方向。
