This paper shows that in carbonization method for processing pseudo-boehmite,chamber filter press is replaced by horizontal vacuum band filter to wash pseudo-boehmite,spent washing water is recycled and reused,with improvement of cooling down process to reduce fresh water consumption,and efficient result in saving fresh water is finally achieved.

The article gives a description of factors which have influence on water consumption of ore washing in Pingguo Bauxite Mine, and proposes some improvement measurements which contribute to solving the problem of high consumption of water during ore washing and saving finite water resources.
