每年6月22日前后。太阳直射点在北回归线上,北半球各地昼最长,夜最短。北半球纬度越高的地方,白昼越长,黑夜越短,北极圈内出现极昼现象。南半球纬度越高的地方,黑夜越长,白昼越短,南极圈内出现极夜现象。地球上距北回归线越远的地方,太阳光线越倾斜,获得的太阳光热越少。相比之下,此时北半球比南半球获得的热量多。一般北半球6,7,8三个月是夏季,南半球是冬季。
