Based on the monthly mean SST data on 2 latitude multiplied by 2 longitude grid in the Pacific Ocean during 1950～2000, the zonal movement of surface warm water in the western Pacific warm pool in the equatorial Pacific band (5°N～5°S) was analyzed by using the Morlet wavelet transformation method.
