笔者分别对“耍子”和“玩儿”在汉语中出现的情况进行了历时考察与分析,并对“耍子”在近代汉语中长期存在的原因和“玩儿”能取代“耍子”的原因进行了分析,最后对“玩儿”取代“耍子”的时间进行了推测。
补充资料：农业生产时间和劳动时间
农业生产时间是从农业劳动力和农业生产资料投入生产过程开始到产品出售前为止的全部过程所需要的时间。亦即资本或资金处于生产过程中的全部时间，包括农业生产中的准备工作劳动时间，劳动者使用生产工具直接作用于劳动对象的时间，劳动过程中断时动植物自然生长发育的时间，产品在生产者手里库存待售的时间。农业劳动时间不包括农业生产时间中劳动过程中断的那部分时间，只包括农业劳动者进行农业劳动的时间。
农业生产时间长于农业劳动时间，是农业生产不同于工业生产的一个重要特点。这个特点是因为农业生产受动植物本身生长发育的自然规律的支配而产生的。它使农业劳动力和农业机具的利用产生了较强的季节性。因此，缩短农业生产时间，并使之尽可能与劳动时间一致，对于促进农业生产的发展有重要意义。
影响农业生产时间长短的因素主要是动植物的生物学特性。此外，农业自然环境条件和农业科学技术、农业管理水平的状况，对农业生产时间长短也有重要影响。缩短农业生产时间并使之与劳动时间尽量一致的途径是：使用生长时间短的动植物品种；采用缩短动植物成熟期的作物栽培技术和畜禽饲养管理措施，缩短生产准备工作所占的时间；合理确定产品出售前的储存时间；实行农业企业的多部门配合等。
