Study on synthesis of cinnamic acid and its dimeric reaction;

The results showed that the catalytic systems had a fundamental influence on the selectivity,in particular regioselectivity(head-to-head or head-to-tail),of the dimerization reactions of terminal alkynes.

The dimerization reaction of terminal alkynes is an important method for the synthesis of the conjugated enynes, conjugated diynes and conjugated dialkenes, and its products are useful building blocks in organic synthesis and are key units in a variety of biologically active compounds.
