哈日图热格风景区位于博乐市西北40公里处的阿拉套山南坡的原始森林峡谷中。“哈日图热格”意为“黑雕出没的地方”。从峡谷向北，碗蜒曲折纵深15公里。溯四季湍流不息的哈日图热格河而上，奇峰秀丽，曲径通幽，云杉翠绿，白桦葱郁，泉水潺潺，松涛回荡，云雾缭绕，鸟语花香，苍鹰起舞，满目苍翠，毡房炊烟袅袅，牧童嘻戏对歌。风景如诗如画是理想的旅游避暑胜地。有“一线天”、“冰笋洞”、“盘龙山”等奇观。
2004年，哈日图热格晋升为国家级森林公园。
