性质:姜黄色粉末。熔点180℃(分解)。微溶于水、乙醇和乙醚,在pH>5时微溶于水,pH<5时溶解度降低。

制备方法:由茜素和亚氨基二乙酸反应:16g茜素和22.5g亚氨基二乙酸悬浮于30ml水中,用含13.5g氢氧化钠的60ml水溶液处理。边搅拌滴加37%甲醛10ml。混合物用水稀释至230ml。加热至75℃,边搅拌边滴加37%甲醛7ml,保温14g。稀释至750ml,在45℃用5N盐酸处理至无沉淀出现为止。滤出结晶为粗品。将粗品溶于蒸馏水,加氢氧化钠溶液溶解,再加盐酸使之重新析出沉淀,过滤,洗涤可得纯品。未反应的茜素可用乙醚提取的方法除去。

用途:配成0.5%的水溶液,作络合滴定指示剂
