﹝出楞严义海﹞
梵语尼，华言女。弃，却也。谓尼犯此八罪，弃却于佛法之外也。
［一、杀］，杀即损伤物命也。谓一切有情，皆惜身命。尼若不能悯彼，反更伤残，是故为众所弃也。
［二、盗］，盗即窃取他物也。谓尼于他人所有财物，生贪乐心，不与而取，是故为众所弃也。
［三、淫］，淫即染欲也。谓尼不能以礼自防，以戒自守，贪着色欲，污犯净行，是故为众所弃也。
［四、妄］，妄乃虚妄不实也。谓尼隐覆实事，虚言诳他，是故为众所弃也。
［五、触］，触即触着。谓尼若与男身相触，起染欲心，是故为众所弃也。
［六、八］，八者，八事也。谓尼与染心男子，两手相捉，或捉其衣，或同入屏处，或屏处共坐，或共语，或共行，或相倚，或与相期。犯此八事，是故为众所弃也。（屏处者，僻静处也。）
［七、覆］，覆即遮覆也。谓尼与大众说戒作法之时，遮覆他罪，不肯对众陈露，是故为众所弃也。
［八、随］，随即依也。谓尼于大僧众中，未与作共住法，而随彼共住，是故为众所弃也。
