破骨细胞
osteoclast
一种多核的大细胞,直径约100μm,可有40~50个或更多的细胞核。目前认为破骨细胞是由多个单核细胞融合而成,细胞核不再分裂。破骨细胞数量较少,约为成骨细胞的百分之一。它位于骨质表面的小凹陷内,能缓慢移动,在贴近骨质的一侧有纹状缘,细胞质内有许多大小不等的小泡,胞质染色为弱嗜碱性或嗜酸性。破骨细胞能溶解和吸收骨质,若破骨细胞离开骨质表面,其纹状缘消失,吸收骨质的作用也随即停止。
