Characteristic of Hydrocarbon Accumulation of Chepaizi Swell in Junggar Basin;

Sequence Stratigraphy of Neogene Shawan Formation in Chepaizi Area, Junggar Basin;

Reservoir formation in Chepaizi region,northwest of Junggar basin,has such characteristics as multiple source rocks,multiple production formations,multiple reservoir types and multiple reservoir formation periods.

With several methods,such as analysis of detritus component,heavy mineral component, dip log, and thickness of strata, the provenance and palaeocurrent direction of Jurassic at Chepaizi region in northwest edge of Junggar Basin are analyzed.

Through the Jurassic oil and gas exploration of Chepaizi region in Junggar basin in recent years and based on the previous study results of whole basin and local sequences,this paper mainly characterizes the Jurassic structure and geology in northwestern Junggar,and establishes the sequential framework of Chepaizi region.

The results indicate that the subsidence of Chepaizi area was controlled by Chepaizi uplift,and the centers of subsidence were in the east and south parts of the research area in Mesozoic-Cenozoic period.

The Chepaizi Uplift in Junggar basin has gone through three evolution stages since Early Permian.
