In order to determine the insulation level of 800 kV UHV DC transmission line,the PSCAD program is used to simulate and calculate slow-front overvoltage(SFO)and distribution along line at healthy line pole caused by one line pole ground fault for the Yunnan to Guangdong 800 kV UHV DC transmission line.
