1 lm0砾磨(pebble mill grinding)以砾石作为研磨介质的磨矿方式。砾磨设备与球磨设备基本相同，唯磨矿介质不同。砾石介质的粒度一般为一80~+3omm，其形状各种各样，有近球体、椭球体、蛋形等。砾石一般有三种途径获取:(1)由破碎作业专门制取;(2)自磨过程中产生的难磨颗粒，(3)其它方式获取，如取自天然卵石。砾磨所用砾石密度一般小于钢球，但砾石与被磨物料之间的磨擦系数、接触面积均大千钢球，故砾磨过程中冲击力较弱而磨剥力较强，适用于细磨及易泥化的物料的磨碎，如铝、钨矿石的细磨;另外忌铁物料或作业也宜采用砾磨，如铀矿、金矿浸出前的磨碎。由于砾石密度较小，故砾磨作业矿浆的固体浓度较低，通常为60%~65%。一般来说，磨矿效果与研磨介质的密度成比例，砾石密度小于钢球，故同样规格的磨机采用砾石介质的处理量低于球介质。磨机中砾石的磨损速度较钢球快，砾石磨损后残体的处理也较麻烦。为了保证磨机中砾石介质的适宜量，砾石介质必须及时、准确的添加。为此，砾磨过程必须实行自动控制。 (陈炳辰)
