梅宝树，男，1939年出生，中共党员，1960年毕业与河北大学哲学系，40年来一直在河北大学从事教学和研究工作。现任河北大学艺术学研究所和cis研究所所长，美学，艺术学教授，河北大学艺术学硕士点导师组组长，中华美学学会理事；河北省社会科学联合会理事；河北省美术学会常务副会长。
梅宝树在担任河北大学美学研究室主任；艺术教研室主任和艺术系主任期间积极在河北大学搞美学和艺术教育活动。先后聘请了许多著名美学和艺术学专家和著名艺术家到河北大学讲学和演出。因此艺术教育无论是在课室教学和课外的美育活动，以及学术活动都搞得有声有色。国家教委让河北大学在全国艺术教育研讨会上介绍了经验，并让我们录制了《塑造心灵的工程—河北大学艺术教育巡礼》的录像片，在中央电视台教育频道播放，获得全国高校的好评，并派中国交响乐团意９８大学生艺术节的名义赴河北大学义务演出，引起全国高校的强烈反响。梅宝树还获得了河北省首届社科优秀二等奖。河北大学模范党员和优秀教师。
