This article describes a process that converts carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide that exist in the coke-oven gas to methane by methanation,and then purifies methane by PSA process to produce synthetic natural gas.

Physical characteristics and composition were analyzed for XNC 98 type methanol synthesis catalyst, in allusion to features of Lurge converter, the filling scheme and operation step were prepared, the scheme of heating / reducing and its operation process for this catalyst were described in detail, the application situation of production was summarized.
