【来源】
为百合科植物粉菝葜的根茎和嫩叶。
【植物形态】
粉菝葜 落叶藤状灌木。根茎块状，多横行，具膨大及坚硬的木质菱角状突起，先端具硬的细根，外表灰白色带淡黄色，剖面淡红色。茎坚硬，有倒生或平生坚硬的皮刺。叶互生，革质；叶片长椭圆形至狭长椭圆形，或卵圆形，长3.5～8厘米，宽1.8～4.5厘米，先端渐尖或钝尖，基部阔楔形，全缘，上面绿色，有光泽，下面粉白色，脉3出；叶柄长1～1.2厘米；基部具鞘，在鞘的顶端有2条卷须。伞形花序腋生；单性，异株；总花柄长1.5～2厘米，花柄长1～1.4厘米；雄花被片6，浅绿黄色，长椭圆形，雄蕊6；雌花长4毫米，具退化雄蕊6，子房上位，长椭圆形；柱头3，反卷。浆果球形，蓝黑色，直径约7毫米。花期4月。果期7～8月。 生于山坡林下或灌丛林内。分布江苏、安徽、浙江、福建、江西、湖南、湖北、四川、贵州、河南、陕西。
【采集】
根茎全年可采，叶春季采，晒干。
【化学成分】
根含淀粉55.8%，粗蛋白5.56%，粗脂肪0.22%。
【性味】
《四川常用中草药》："甘，平。"
【功用主治】
《四川常用中草药》："清热，除风毒。治崩带，血淋，瘰疬，跌打损伤。嫩叶：治臁疮。"
【用法与用量】
内服：煎汤，0.5～1两；或浸酒。外用：捣敷。
