通过对我国黄海、东海、南海陆架晚更新世沉积物中盘星藻、双星藻、环纹藻等淡水藻类化石的研究,推测了当时海面变化、海岸线变迁,追溯陆架地区沧海桑田的历史,并分析沉积时期湖泊的水域变化,说明对海洋沉积物中盘星藻、双星藻、环纹藻等淡水藻类的研究有深远的古环境意义。
