Based on the characteristics of the grid such as open framework,distributed and parallel services,cross-region resource sharing and collaboration,the open and layered resource organization model was proposed based on the Domain Grid(DG) and SubGrid(SG).

By investigating the present situation of domestic subject information gateways,this paper analyses their characteristics based on their establishers,subject areas,resource organization,metadata description,software platform,added services and interoperability.

This paper proposes a wide-area six-hierarchy resource organization model, which has been applied to the construction of self-adaptive learning system to dynamically adapt to the needs of a particular user in accordance with his aptitude.
