性质:由煤经高温干馏而得的油状副产物。黑色。有特殊臭味。在室温下,密度约1.15~1.25。主要成分是芳香烃,并含有含氧、氮或硫等的有机化合物,随着所用的煤种、炉型和温度而不同。在加热时一部分会分解而成气体,一部分会聚合而成高分子芳香烃。经初步分馏可得轻油、中油、重油、蒽油等馏分和残余物沥青。将各馏分进一步加工分离和精制,可得苯、甲苯、二甲苯、苯酚、甲酚、萘、菲、苊、芴、咔唑、吡啶等,是制造染料、药物、树脂、塑料、橡胶、合成纤维、香料和炸药等的重要原料。沥青可用于铺筑路面和制造油漆、油毛毡等。
