【劳合社船级社】亦称“劳埃德船级社”。从事核定船级工作的行业组织。该社是世界历史最悠久、规模最大的船级协会。1700年由常在劳埃德咖啡馆聚会的保险人组建。1834年改组，.由船东、造船厂商、保险商、运输业等有关方面参与共同组成。设常务委员会负责管理，在世界各主要港口都有其分支机构。主要任务是接受船舶经纪人和保险商的委托，办理船舶的监造、检验和核定船级的工作，也接受政府授权，核发船舶证书。该社每年编印《劳合社船舶登记册》。
