Based on the experiment, this paper analyses the limitation of section in rectangular reinforced concrete elements subjectal to combined bending, shear and torsion and presentsthe practical formulae.

Compared with a few chief strength calculating formulas in shear and torsion in building code of reinforced concrete structure at home and abroad this paper makes an analysis of the resuts and obtains the differences between them,which can be reference for the study of calculation models and design methods in shear and torsion.
