土耳其诗人、作家。"知识宝库派"的主要代表人物。生于仕宦家庭。1896年任《知识宝库》杂志主编。1901年杂志停刊后深居简出，致力于写作。1908年开始从事教学工作。他早期的诗大部分描写风景和爱情，有浪漫主义色彩。1901年后开始描写社会现实生活，表达对祖国的热爱以及对苏丹统治的不满。著名的诗《雾》以浓雾暗喻苏丹暴政下的气氛。他的《民族进行曲》歌颂青年土耳其党人的革命，而当他们背叛了人民时，又写了《回到九五年》等诗加以斥责。他的大部分诗作收集在《破碎了的诗琴》(1900)一书中。其他重要作品还有《哈鲁克的笔记本》(1911)等。
