      膜翅目的1科。触角第3节长;幼虫腹足10对的广腰亚目蜂类。已知约40种,分隶于6属4亚种。分布于北半球。中国已知3种。春天出现,飞翔力弱。触角第3节至少由8个环节愈合而成。第3节前端有一丝状物,由 9个或 9个以上的小环节组成。头部正常,开放式,无口后桥。前胸背板长,其后缘几呈直线,而且几乎是翅基片间最短的距离。中胸腹板三角形,有明显的缝,有一前腹片桥。具有膜翅目中一般的脉型。前翅径分脉(Rs)分为径分脉1(Rs1)和径分脉2(Rs2)。中胫节和后胫节有端前刺。雌虫产卵管突出。雄虫外生殖器阳基侧突与阳基侧突板相关联,顶端有环形盘;阳茎瓣槽形。外生殖器位置正常,但亦有作 180度转动的。幼虫每一腹节有足1对,加害具有球果的或被子植物类的乔木。
