In order to improve the thermal stability of N-n-butylisoquinoline (TCNQ)2 charge transfer complex used for aluminium electrolyte capacitors, thermal decomposition of the complex was investigated with in-situ infrared spectroscopy by rising and reducing the temperature, and its thermal performance was tested with differential scanning calorimetry and thermogravimetric analysis.
