性质描述：无色或琥珀色液体。沸点68℃（1.6kPa），相对密度1.32（20/5℃），折光率1.4795（25℃）。溶于乙醇；苯；氯仿；四氯化碳；乙醚；乙酸乙酯等有机溶剂，微溶于己烷，不溶于水。

生产方法：由甲醇与三氯硫磷反应生成O-甲基硫代磷酰氯，然后再与甲醇进一步反应而得。将173kg三氯硫磷投入反应锅中，搅拌冷却至-15℃，缓缓加入甲醇，温度控制在-5℃左右，加完161.5kg甲醇后，再搅拌反应10min。将反应物放在0℃的冷水中洗涤；分层，下层为O-甲基硫代磷酰氯（即二氯化物）。

按二氯化物量的1.08倍称取固体氢氧化钠，溶解在4倍的重量的甲醇中配成醇碱液。将其冷至-15℃，滴加入二氯化物中，控制温度在-5℃左右。加毕，将料液吸入水洗锅中，加1%的盐酸水洗涤，静置分层，下层即为O,O-二甲基硫代磷酰氯。

用途：该品为农药中间体，可用于生产杀暝松、杀暝晴、1605、甲基1605、甲胺磷和乙酰甲胺磷等。

该品具有有机磷农药的毒性，对眼、粘膜及皮肤有刺激性，吸入或经皮肤吸收会引起中毒。小白鼠口服LD50为450mg/kg。
