The key intermediate of Donepezil hydrochloride,1-bezyl-4-(5,6-dimethoxyindan-1-on-2-methylene)-pyridine was synthesized from 5,6-dimethoxyindanone and pyridine-4-aldehyde via condensation and N-benzylation reaction.

A novel cobalt(Ⅱ) complex,[Co(H_4FoPyS)_2(H_2O)_4](ClO_4)_2·2H_2O(1,H_4FoPyS=pyridine-4-carbaldehyde semicarbazone),was synthesized by the reaction of Co(ClO_4)_2·6H_2O with the Schiff base derived from pyridine-4-aldehyde and semicarbazide.
6H2O和Sch iff碱吡啶-4-甲醛缩氨基脲反应合成了标题化合物[Co(H4FoPyS)2(H2O)4](C lO4)2。

A novel zinc(Ⅱ) complex,[Zn(H_4FoPyS)_2(H_2O)_4](NO_3)_2·3(H_2O)(1)(H_4FoPy(S=)pyridine-4-aldehyde semicarbazone),was synthesized by hydrothermal method.
3(H2O)(1,H4FoPyS为希夫碱吡啶-4-甲醛缩氨基脲),其结构经IR,元素分析,单晶X-射线衍射和热重分析表征。
