性质：卫矛科雷公藤根的杀虫有效成分。至今已分出五种生物碱：（1）C43H49O19N，熔点175~176℃，比旋度+12°（25℃，丙酮）；（2）C41H47O19N，熔点211℃，比旋度+25°（25℃，丙酮）；（3）C43H49O48N，熔点169~170℃，比旋度+30°(30℃,丙酮）；（4）C41H49O20N，熔点238℃，比旋度+10°(25℃，丙酮）；（5）C41H47O17N，熔点177~178℃。雷公藤碱在农业上对昆虫有强力胃毒和触杀效能。民间习称菜虫药。常用磨细的雷公藤根皮粉作悬浮液喷射或撒粉，对于防治菜青虫和猿叶虫、松毛虫等非常有效。也可用于清洁卫生杀蛆、灭蝇、灭孑015。对毒鼠昏迷率达97％。7天后死亡率约50％。
