性质:以膨胀蛭石为原料、加黏结剂制成的具有规整形,状的隔热制品。有水泥膨胀蛭石制品、水玻璃膨胀蛭石制品和沥青膨胀蛭石制品等。这类制品的密度为0.4~0.5g/cm3,常温导热系数293~502.4J/(m·h·℃)(70~120cal/(m·h·℃)耐压强度<0.5MPa。通常将粒状膨胀蛭石加入到适量的高强黏结剂中,轻压成形后,经干燥或烘烤而制成。黏结剂的导热系数通常比膨胀蛭石的导热系数高,故黏结剂的加入虽使膨胀蛭石有了新的用途,但也降低了膨胀蛭石的隔热效果。蛭石砖属于薄壁空心结构制品,强度较低,熔点也低,其耐火度和高温性能均低于其他轻质耐火材料,不宜用于承重部位,也不宜用作中高温隔热材料,其使用温度在800~900℃。
